Positive Behavioural Support Plan (PBSP)
A Positive Behaviour Support Plan is a written document detailing specific behaviour management strategies. A PBSP is typically funded by the NDIS under the Capacity building – Relationship funding for children 7 or 8 years or above.
Our therapists can help our families to identify behaviour concerns, understand their function, create strategies to manage the behaviour as well as provide appropriate training to the client’s family members and other professionals who will be implementing the behaviour plan.
Some typical behaviours of concern that our therapist can support include:
- Physical behaviours (pushing, biting, punching, kicking, throwing objects).
- Verbal Behaviours (swearing, shouting, screaming).
- Sensory-based behaviours (hand flapping, grinding body on objects, vocal stims, repetitive phrases, rocking, finger movements).
- Anxiety-based behaviours (skin picking, hair pulling, pacing).
If you are unsure if a behaviour is a concern, please email us at [email protected] or phone 1300 939 147 to discuss further.
